Children of Newquay are invited to join the Newquay BID’s FREE Zombie Crawl. Wearing gory get-ups and ghoulish glad-rags they will parade through the town in a spook-tacular Halloween extravaganza not to be forgotten. Starting off at 1pm get ready to see the amazing Titan the Robot perform at the Piazza then followed by a family disco and face painting at Cribbar. Then at 2pm learn some monster moves for a dance workshop at Cribbar before getting ready to set off on the Zombie Crawl at 3pm from Gover Lane to

Heligan Halloween
Saturday 21st – Sunday 29th October 2017
Heligan’s magical and mysterious woods will play host to a Spooky Folklore Trail this half term. All activities are included with garden admission. This year’s trail will take inspiration from the Russian folklore tale of Baba Yaga. Enter the dark woods and stumble upon weird and wonderful ‘going’s on’. Will you find the old creaky house of Baba Yaga? Can you and your family work your way through a Giant spider’s web? Weave your way through the woods and see if you’re in for a fright or a delight! For those wanting to get creative this Halloween, you’re invited to join us for some Halloween crafts. Make yourself your very own shadow puppet to try in our shadow puppet theatre! Create a herbal dream pillow to take home and put by your bed to ensure sweet dreams during this spooky season or make a shadow puppet, then try out your puppet in our shadow puppet theatre.

Roald Dahl’s Halloweden – EDEN PROJECT
21–29 October 2017
It’s Halloweden… but not as you know it. This half-term, discover if you’re brave enough to take on Roald Dahl’s most terrible villains, as you encounter themes from five of the best-selling books. Trick or Treasure at Pirate’s Quest – Newquay
October Half Term 2017 (Oct 21st-28th)
The authentic pirates are brought to life by talented theatrical actors, who are guaranteed to make this a unique and memorable experience – a rare opportunity for all ages to learn something new about piracy, and experience the real life of a seafarer during the ‘Golden Age of Pirates’. Families can join in the ghoulish fun with a special spooky treasure map, follow the hidden Halloween clues to claim some of the cursed treasure! Don’t be afraid to dress up, it’s optional but most welcome. Enjoy a wickedly wonderful October half term, fun for the entire family at Pirate’s Quest.

Fright night in Cotehele House

Many visitors have commented upon the distinctive herbal fragrance that has been smelt all over the building. It is often accompanied by the sound of plaintive music, and occasionally hazy and indistinct figures are seen gliding about the house. Wander around atmospheric Cotehele House by torchlight for this event suitable for children and families. It is essential that everyone in your group brings a torch please. Timed tickets will be issued on arrival. The Barn Restaurant and shop will be open.

Halloween Murder Mystery Night – Bodmin Jail
Tuesday 31st October 2017
6.30pm arrival, starting 7pm – Includes 3 course meal. Watch and listen as the professionally staged murder plot unfolds before your very eyes. Question the cast for those extra clues, view the murder scene, and choose your suspect.

Bodmin Jail, Bodmin. Explore the jail after dark in the company of our Resident Medium, who has over 11 years experience at the Jail. As an experienced Psychic Medium and Energy Therapist, he will tutor you in the basics of Reiki and energy management before putting you to work for the night behind bars in this formidable County Jail. The event begins at 8.45pm with a set 3 course meal and time for our newest inmates to get to know each other, before delving into the history, and footprints of the past. Specific workshops run throughout the night, before we return you to the living world at 5am. £80 per person.  Other dates available.
