Family Days Out

Dairyland Farm World has free range fun, rain or shine
Bodmin Gaol

Crealy Adventure Park has thrill rides, hundreds of animals, 40,000 sq ft of indoor play and 35 acres of outdoor play.
Healey’s Cyder Farm is family friendly and open all year.
Cardinham Wood is mixed woodland for walkers and cyclists, with a great cafe.

Boat and Train Trips

Bodmin & Wenford Railway, Cornwall’s steam railway.
You can hop between Padstow and Rock on the ferry.  Eating places abound on both sides of the estuary.
A bit further afield you can follow the Fal from Truro to Falmouth or St Mawes and back.
St Ives has terrible parking which has been solved by a great park & ride system on the St Ives Branch Line.  You can then reach the Tate and Barbara Hepworth’s house and studio in St Ives.

Adventure

Go-karting at St Eval.
Kayaking, canoeing and SUPing around magical Fowey estuary with trips from Golant or Fowey harbour .
Jump Off a Cliff at the Adrenalin Quarry!
Sailing, Segways and more at Siblyback Lake Country Park
The latest mountain biking news from nearby Grogley Woods.
And even more bike trails all around us.

Interesting Animals

You’ll see octopi, sharks and seahorses along with loads of fish at the Blue Reef Aquarium.
Always something happening at Newquay Zoo, including big cats, a Madagascan walkthrough and penguins.
The Monkey Sanctuary has been caring for unwanted and rescued monkeys for 45 years.
Cornish Birds of Prey is close by, and in the other direction you’ll find the Screech Owl Sanctuary and Wildlife Park.
You can adopt a lobster – or not – at the National Lobster Hatchery in Padstow.
A bit further toward Devon is the Tamar Otter Sanctuary.
Cornwall is buzzing at the Porteath Bee Centre.
Just over half an hour away is the Porfell Wildlife Park & Sanctuary, established 25 years.

St Austell Brewery has tours, plus the Hicks Bar, museum and brewery shop and is 25 minutes away.
