The Camel Trail, a 16 mile dedicated cycling and walking route following the old ‘Atlantic Coast Express’ railway line between Bodmin and Padstow. There are several points along the way to join it – one of which is 5 minutes bike ride from the site on a relatively level route. The Camel Trail is part of the ‘Cornish Way’ a cycle route round Cornwall. Also nearby, just off the Camel Trail, is Bishop’s Wood, perfect for a leisurely stroll. If you’re looking for more hills, Helman Tor or the mountain biking in Cardinham Woods might be just the thing for the whole family. For the keen walker, there are numerous hiking trails and, of course, the South West Coast Path which follows the Cornish coastline; the ‘Saints Way’ is a Pilgrims’ route incorporating many of the churches between Padstow and Fowey.
